The Gatehouse is situated on the Wharf by the canal basin at Sowerby Bridge.

From the main road from Halifax go down the hill (Bolton Brow) past two unused mill buildings and take the next left into the canal basin.

From the main road from Ripponden go past the traffic lights and turn right into the canal basin.

As you turn into the canal basin there is a bronze staue of a man and boy pushing a lock gate on the right.

The Gatehouse is the second small building on the left. There are two free car parking spaces behind the building.
