About the Gatehouse

The Gatehouse Physiotherapy Practice is based just below the entrance to the canal basin at The Wharf in Sowerby Bridge. The Victorian Gatehouse was originally used to collect toll fees for the weighbridge which was used to check the weight of goods which were being transported on the canal system.

The lovely old building is full of charm with open beams and a large treatment area which has been opened out to accommodate a small exercise area. The building is bright and airy with a tranquil atmosphere, and is therefore the perfect environment for a treatment or Reiki session.

There is a comfortable waiting area with tea & coffee making facilities and plenty of parking for patients who visit the practice. Two parking spaces at the rear of the practice are designated for Gatehouse patients.
